GRAND ISLAND TOUR
Our exciting tour begins with a visit to the Old Town of Corfu, the island’s capital. Here, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a walking tour and view the most important sites of the Old Town which was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List as a fortified Mediterranean port town of high integrity and authenticity. The heart of the town, contains a labyrinth of small alleyways crisscrossing larger, bustling streets abound with typical old craftsmen’s workshops giving a venetian air.
Continue your sightseeing tour through, driving past Kaiser’s Bridge to enjoy magnificent views across the bay. A short photo stop will be made in order to capture some beautiful photos of the convent of Vlacherna and Mouse Island, the landmark of Corfu.
Our leisurely tour continues with a visit to the impressive Achilleion Palace ( entrance ticket payable direct by the clients) located in the pretty village of Gastouri. Perched on the crown of the hill, the majestic the palace was constructed in 1892 for Empress Elisabeth of Austria. Wander around a wonderful garden decorated with beautiful statues representing characters of the Greek mythology and discover the different rooms of the Palace, with documents, paintings, antique furniture and the nice little chapel.
Then we continue onto Paleokastritsa, the most famous beauty spot of Corfu, free time to visit the reverent monastery, perched at the edge of a lush green mountain overlooking the sea. Visitors are welcome inside to view the famous ceiling carving of the ‘Tree of Life’. With its stunning rugged coastline and crystal blue sea, Paleokastritsa is home to many sea caves, which can be visited by small boats.

Our journey continues with a scenic drive high up the mountainside to the quaint village of Lakones, where from the view point of Bella Vista, guests can admire a fine birds-eye view of Paleokastritsa. In this idyllic setting, guests may enjoy a typical lunch in a traditional taverna overlooking the stunning views of Paleokastritsa and the horizon beyond (payable direct by the clients).
Upon completion of the tour, guests will be transferred to the hotel/port.
